2.4G R.F Output Checker

output-checker

Ever wondered how to check your 2.4G transmitters R.F output after replacing the aerial or how to eliminate the transmitter as the cause of a any problem with range? Well now you can with the Model Radio Workshop 2.4G R.F Output Checker – Mike Ridley has reported that after seeing transmitters here in his workshop with little or no R.F output it was decided to make a device to do just that. Great value at £22.95

Mike is someone whose gear I have used for sometime now, as have many flyers in the world of pylon racing. If you have a problem with anything electric drop him an email I’m sure he will help out, from testing and servicing radio gear to the design of special item.

Lotto 5.1

This event is set up for you to prove your ability as a top clubman flyer, you will see from the flying schedule it’s a very basic schedule which we will all have flown many times before.

We will start off the event with a draw to select your flying order, please note entries will be taken up to 45 minutes after the start time, but you will be last to fly.

Once the judges are in position, you will be asked to start. At which point you will do your pre-flight inspections, start your engine/connect your batteries and proceed with your caller/helper to the strip, take off and fly a circuit crossing the centre of the designated flying area. The designated flying area will be marked out with 3 poles 1 for the centre and 1 for each end.

For the take off we will be looking for a nice smooth climb out and turns to bring you to a safe height to complete your manoeuvres. When you cross the centre line, from this point you can fly your routine which we would like to see the following manoeuvres all flowing smoothly from one to the other.

In the event that you go dead stick or have a problem, you will not be marked down in fact depending on how you handle it, you could get marked up, may be you can use this to your discretion?

On completion of your flight and once you have completed your after flight checks we will ask you a few simple questions from the new Handbook 5.1  see below for the questions and KADMAC Handbook for the answers.

The final question, your asked to pick 6 numbers between 1 and 49 these numbers will be put on the National lottery Lotto and in the event that a competitor’s numbers do come up we will split the money 50/50 between those who flew and the clubs coffers.

Just one other thing this is a Powered Aerobatic comp with no mention of it being fixed wing!!!!

As from the start of the next indoor meeting on the 16th February all flights will be segregated into appropriate selected classes in an tempt to make the flying experience better for all. Please help Harry out by giving an him an idea of how long you would like to fly for in your slot and by being ready when your time comes. Of course you can fly in all the slots if you have the appropriate flying machine for that slot. Don’t forget flying safe and take care and those walls really don’t move when your flying.
